PowerCore continues its global quest to Activate Everything and we’ve set our sights on DesignerCon 2016 in Pasadena. We are proud to be a sponsor this year and have several exciting activities lined up for the show.
#dconlife Messaging Stickers Available Now!
We have just released a special set of official D-Con 2016 Messaging Stickers specifically design just for DesignerCon! We have stickers for some our favorite D-Con characters including Vincent the D-Con mascot and the omnipresent Sucklord (“Its Showtime!”). The set also features PowerCore’s convention-loving character Connie – who just can’t resist rocking a character costume – at least this time she is dressed up like Vincent – the official D-Con mascot (who also has his own sticker).
Use these messaging stickers to spread the excitement for the upcoming show to all your best toy buddies. The Collector App also features sticker sets from some of today’s finest Toys-to-Art creators including Martin Hsu, Uamou, Huck Gee, Mechatro WeGo and more.
The stickers can be used in FaceBook Messenger on iOS and Android, iMessage on iOS, and Google Hangouts on Android. Available now through our PowerCore Collector App – download free on either iPhone and Android.

Mechatro WeGo Custom Show at DesignerCon 2016
PowerCore, in cooperation with 1000toys and DesignerCon, is super excited to present the Mechatro WeGo Custom Show at DesignerCon 2016. Originally created by special effects artist Kazumi Kobayashi (Moderythm), Mechatro WeGo is the little robot from Japan taking the indie toy scene by storm. Japanese toymaker extraordinaire 1000toys produced exquisite versions of the WeGo in two different scales and has been showcasing them at toy events all over the globe for the past year. The impressive 1/12 scale version has even more details, articulation and gimmicks and comes in an all white DIY version perfect for customizers. So we asked a select group of international artists to show us their robotic visions. As a bonus 1000toys is bringing a selection of 20 pieces from the recent Minna no WeGo #5 show to display at DesignerCon. Since 2014, Minna no WeGo has been a recurring custom show by the Japanese creative community held twice a year at Wonderfestival — Japan’s biggest toy event for independent toy makers and where Kobayashi’s original resin version of the Mechatro WeGo made its debut way back in 2011.
The show will be on display in it full glory in the Exhibit Hall Lobby (Booth #1404). And at the Mechatro WeGo Gift Shop (Booth #1414) you pick up a Mechatro WeGo of your very own or grab an exclusive Mechatro WeGo enamel art pin.
See we told you had a lot of exciting things planned.
